McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release

A simple and gentle, but effective technique, which can have profound affects on recent or long-term scars. (Not advised within 6 weeks of surgery, or over mesh).

Primarily applied to scarring due to surgical intervention (for example: caesarian sections, hysterectomy, trauma, joint replacements, carpal tunnel, mastectomy, head/facial), it may also influence other scars, but has shown to be less effective on scars such as burns.

The work can effect symptoms such as :

-numbness or desensitisation in or around area of scar

-pain

-hypersensitivity

-physical appearance – pale/white. red and ‘angry’, raised

Many of these symptoms can change with as few as one application.

The technique works towards improving nerve tissue transmission, increasing blood flow to the area, improving lymphatic drainage, reducing blockages in Qi pathways.
